LEGO Ideas is a website created and operated by The LEGO Group where Fans of LEGO (FOL) can upload pictures and descriptions of their creations, often called "projects". Other FOLs can look at the "projects" posted on LEGO Ideas and offer their support. If any one project reaches 10,000 supporters, it will go to the Official LEGO Review Process where The Lego Group will examine the design of the LEGO build on a variety of topics and determine if that project is something they would like to market as an official LEGO set. If the project passes the Official LEGO Review Process, it gets passed on to their set designers and then it becomes available to the public for purchase. Find out more about how to use LEGO Ideas here.
One issue with this system is so many projects get uploaded to LEGO Ideas that really good projects will sometimes get buried because of the high volume of submissions. This page highlights some of the projects I have come across that I believe have a chance to pass the Official LEGO Review Process if they reach 10,000 supporters.
